History
Execution and restoration
Eliona led the Maraveth Ascendant Consulate before becoming guardian of Shaoying in 1052 BX. When she eradicated an opposing faction, Barachiel ordered her execution. Raphael restrained her with golden ice, and Isandriel unmade her body. Michael took over Shaoying.
Eremion recovered her surviving heart and later gave it to Raphael. Using Arcanis's teachings about the signature retained within a heart, Raphael secretly reconstructed her. Before his final battle against the Order, he instructed her to remain hidden and search for his and Eremion's hearts if they fell.
She spent centuries searching the ruins of Maraveth before seizing Raphael's heart from a local man. As an advisor to Morindel's regent, she built vessels that supplied the heart with essence from cores. She also invited powerful mages into her home without telling them that the heart was drawing their essence. Her experiments restored Raphael, and they left for Rahmavir. She later spent a century searching for Azarion and restored him as well.
Rahmavir
Eliona entered Varnhallow with a companion and emerged nearly two centuries later. After centuries of studying its temporal barrier, she dismantled the anomaly. With Raphael and Azarion, she defeated the Oracles and seized Zarephon, giving Rahmavir control of the Source.
She and Azarion ambushed Thalena near Arcanis Village. Eliona concealed Azarion and the damaged terrain, then broke Thalena's abyss with a spellblaster shot. Thalena stole Isandriel's heart from Eliona's pocket and escaped into the void by crushing a cylinder supplied by Jareth. Lythariel blocked Eliona's later shot at Virel with darkness, and Eliona and Azarion withdrew.
Eliona and Azarion left for Brunholl to prepare for the siege of Omberion.

Magic
Eliona uses illusions to conceal people, their essence signatures, and damage to the surrounding terrain. She blinks through space and forms temporal shields. Her spellblaster fired origin corruptor projectiles that disrupted Thalena's abyss. She could not produce these projectiles herself.
She formerly wielded a second generation god core and a Malverand heart that regenerated lost limbs. Eira confiscated the core, and Eliona gave the heart to Maric.
History
Guardian of Shaoying
Eliona led the Maraveth Ascendant Consulate before becoming guardian of Shaoying in 1052 BX. She oversaw the province's western expansion. When she slaughtered a faction of murderers and child kidnappers, Barachiel ordered her execution without hearing her explanation. Raphael restrained her with golden ice, and Isandriel unmade her body. Michael assumed control of Shaoying.
Isandriel failed to destroy her Malverand heart. Eremion recovered it and later gave it to Raphael, who secretly reconstructed her using Arcanis's teachings about the signature retained within a heart. She studied temporal magic but could not prepare a counter to the abyss before the final battle against the Order. Raphael instructed her to remain hidden, study their enemies, and search for his and Eremion's hearts if they fell.
Restoring the guardians
Eliona spent centuries searching the ruins of Maraveth. She found Raphael's heart in a local man's possession and seized it. In Morindel, she became an advisor to the regent and built vessels to supply the heart with essence from cores. She also invited powerful mages to her home without telling them that the heart was drawing their essence. Her experiments eventually reconstructed Raphael.
They left for Rahmavir. Eliona later spent a century searching for Azarion and restored him as well. The two trained and fought together for centuries. They defeated Zharrek before the wall around Shroudvale was built.
Rahmavir and Varnhallow
Eliona entered Varnhallow with a companion and emerged nearly two centuries later. She spent centuries studying its temporal barrier before dismantling the anomaly. With Raphael and Azarion, she defeated the Oracles and seized Zarephon, giving Rahmavir control of the Source.
She and Azarion ambushed Thalena near Arcanis Village. Eliona concealed Azarion and the damaged terrain with illusions, then broke Thalena's abyss with a spellblaster shot. Thalena stole Isandriel's Malverand heart from Eliona's pocket and escaped into the void by crushing a cylinder supplied by Jareth. Lythariel blocked Eliona's later shot at Virel with darkness, and Eliona and Azarion withdrew.
Negotiating peace
Eliona concealed the skyships that attacked the Order in Kaldaryn. She pursued Kaelion and boarded his ship to kill him, but he deliberately misfired a sun spell and wrecked the vessel. Isrynn overloaded her own magic to destroy the pursuing skyships and died in the explosion. Eliona and Azarion were driven back by Virel, Remus, and Astheron.
After Alice reported that the source was draining another world, Eliona asked Eira to close it. She agreed to help kill Raphael and end the fighting in exchange for her and Azarion's lives and residence in Thalassai. She accepted the removal of her god core, while the initial agreement allowed them to retain their Malverand hearts.
Eliona housed Eira, Kaelion, and Xarion in Zarephon while they prepared to close the source. Alistair sabotaged the source lake, causing the mountain's destruction. Eliona shielded Azarion and blinked him out of the blast. Believing the negotiators had died, they returned to Raphael's side. Gabriel publicly credited them with killing the trio despite their objections, and they resumed fighting because they believed their chance of peace was lost.
Cyndarel and Ishtanûr
At Cyndarel, Ravira helped Eliona escape Aldar's veil. Eliona concealed the retreating allies but was wounded by Aelius and Vianna. Azarion rescued her after losing control of his hurricane. Following Raphael's death, she and Ravira took command of his remaining followers. She persuaded Torukhan to stay for one more battle.
Eliona traveled to Ishtanûr aboard Raphael's former skyship within Azarion's hurricane. After seeing Eira and Kaelion alive, she rescued the injured Myrelia, shielded her from a lava blast, and brought her to Eira. She tried to reach Azarion but was repeatedly wounded and finally thrown away by an explosion.
Eira found Eliona hiding with Myrelia, and Garrik captured them. Eliona surrendered and asked them to spare the princess. Eira honored the earlier agreement, severed Eliona's wrist to remove the core, and healed the wound. The confiscated core was secured in Thalassai.
When the crystal implanted in Myrelia began to overload, Maric descended with her to contain the detonation. Eliona asked him to remove the Malverand heart from her right chest, then pushed it into his chest to help him survive. Too weak to reach the departing aircraft, she was thrown toward it by Xoh'Tenol at Eira's request. Kaelion caught her, and Eira healed her before they escaped the explosion.
Research and Vespera
Eliona and Azarion were temporarily housed in Stella Aeterna. They gave Thalena written accounts of Rahmavir, Alice, and Alistair. Eliona worked with Jareth and Cyrena at the Nexus Research Center to revive Isaac from his Malverand heart, but the heart remained unresponsive. Jareth later used equipment based on her schematics while working on Brynor's crystal heart.
Thalena offered Eliona and Azarion a mission in the Malverand Intergalactic Empire. They crossed to its Valrindor and departed for Vespera to study its life, recover Mike's black boxes, and map the planet. Useful findings would allow them to choose a residence in the empire under supervision. Their spacecraft entered Vespera's atmosphere, and Eliona reaffirmed that she wanted to remain with Azarion wherever they went.
