Eremion killed people he considered too weak. He attacked Thiravos and Theryssa, incorporating their forces into his army. When he fought Raphael, he killed his own population as defeat approached to prevent Raphael from gaining their mages.
After the Order attacked Morindel, Eremion pursued Helena and Zero. Zero protected Helena by redirecting his swords. Eremion subsequently fought Raphael above Jazarel, where the Order flooded the city. Isandriel unmade Eremion's body while Thalion restrained him, but the abyss repeatedly reversed the battle when Helena died.

In 5225 AX, Astrid obtained Eremion's heart from Magnus in Morindel and brought it to the royal palace in Omberion. With the council's permission, the heart drew essence from the surrounding area and rebuilt his body.
Eremion forged new swords, joined George's council, and helped improve Blackcrag's agriculture, trade, military, and skyships. He taught Garrik to layer divine enchantments and shields. George named him Garrik's second shortly before dying in his sleep. Garrik suspected Eremion had killed him, but had no proof.
Before Garrik's coronation, Eremion proposed expanding skyship production, concentrating training on promising mages, and encouraging the strongest mages to have children together. Several of his policies passed through the council despite Garrik's opposition. Garrik left Blackcrag rather than become a king under Eremion's control, and Astrid followed him. Their skyship's engines had been sabotaged.
