Overview
The Morindel Sea is a body of water in Morindel, Valrindor, formed from the smaller Morindel Lake region after the battle that destroyed ancient Morindel.
Geography
The flooding leaves ancient Morindel beneath the waves and erases visible traces of the old city. The later Morindel City stands near the sea; travelers crossing from Blackcrag can land near the coast and reach the city by road after a short walk.
History
During the battle against Eremion at ancient Morindel, Zero trapped him in a singularity and Kallion brought down a sun-like attack. The resulting detonation burned Morindel and its surroundings, shattered the terrain, evaporated the region's lakes, and transformed the Morindel Lake region into the Morindel Sea. In the aftermath, the land bridge collapsed, ocean water surged in, and the old lake region flooded. Eremion's body was destroyed. His heart survived and eventually reached the Morindel vaults.
In later Valrindor, Garrik, Ulrich, Astrid, and Blackcrag diplomats cross the Morindel Sea by skyship during their journey from Omberion to Morindel City. Morindel City's market-square fountain later produces faintly salty water.
