Koriel is a temporal and lightning mage who served Eremion. His work improved the efficiency of Blackcrag.
Eremion gave him a shard in preparation for an ambush of Isandriel. It did not respond at first, but Koriel later attuned to it. He and Rhaeniel could not yet draw their shards' full power. Koriel piloted Eremion's flagship to intercept Isandriel's expedition.
He later pursued Isandriel with Azarion and Rhaeniel. Eremion ordered them to kill him and cast his heart into the ocean's deepest abyss. Thalion's skyships attacked the three as Benedict rescued Isandriel's group. The three disappeared beneath a tsunami.
