Lysander is a member of Ulzathir's council, known for his intelligence and interest in Valrindor's history.
History
Lysander returned with Ulzathir's fleet after the invasion of Thalassai. Unlike Zain, he remained calm despite their losses and Ozaith's death. He acknowledged that they had followed Ozaith's orders but questioned how much they knew about the battle. He also doubted Zain's assessment of Alistair as their strongest mage.
Lysander left the fleet to visit Simon in Haverloch. He asked about Maia, who had not returned to Ulzathir, and examined Haverloch's ancient records. Simon said he did not know what had happened to her.
Lysander is a divine mage and historian formerly on Ulzathir's council. He belongs to the Order of Thalion Zenith, for which he investigated Ulzathir and the mystery of Varnhallow.

Ulzathir and the Order
Simon recruited Lysander into the Order more than a century before the Varnhallow expedition, during a visit to Haverloch. Lysander served as its eyes within Ulzathir without knowing the Order's full structure. His historical investigations began long before Ozaith's death.
After the invasion of Thalassai, Lysander left Ulzathir's returning fleet to visit Simon. He asked about Maia and examined Haverloch's ancient records.
Varnhallow
Lysander joined Isaac's investigation of Varnhallow. He shielded Maia as they crossed the rift opened by Deylin, Anshar and Vianna. Separated from the other travelers, they joined Svanhild's group in Astralem and entered the tournament at Astralynne as part of its plan to attack Eltaru, whom the group believed was keeping them trapped.
Lysander shielded Maia after her match against Aurelia and won his own duel with divine shields. During the ensuing upheaval, Thea signaled Lysander in the arena. Virel carried him out at Isaac's order, and they escaped Varnhallow with the other departing mages.
Outside, two mages ambushed the group. Deylin froze the wounded Isaac in a temporal barrier. Lysander healed him and later raised a large shield so Virel could escape and warn their allies.

The vault and the war
Lysander and Brynor left the siege of Omberion to investigate beneath Maraveth's black tower. Brynor dug the tunnel while Lysander lit it and brought food and water. Inside, Eira needed another healer to revive the people she had kept in temporal stasis for three millennia. With Brynor moving Abraxas out of his case and Eira attending to his heart, Lysander supplied divine healing. Under Eira's direction, he also reattached the severed hands containing Tianlei, Xoh’Tenol and Hrzai, while Brynor and the original Ozaith moved the bodies and hands into position.
Eira's explanation of the two Ozaiths resolved Lysander's difficulty reconciling Ulzathir's cruel ruler with accounts of a benevolent god. They had been different beings.
Lysander helped evacuate the weakened survivors and cared for Aelius and Zayren aboard their skyship. He offered to look after Vianna, Kren and Ivan on their return to Kyranthos.
During the Order's discussion of Alistair, Lysander reported once seeing him partly pass through a door, an observation he had initially dismissed as faulty sight. He also promised to help establish the Valrindor Council.
In Kyranthos, Lysander helped the Morozkayan mages regain their strength before volunteering as a healer for Haverloch's campaign. He shielded the ranged casters attacking Ishtanûr, then withdrew with Vianna on Splin when Simon ordered the retreat. He later passed the Axial Concord's admission tests, with Nahm endorsing his inclusion despite his origin outside Haverloch.
