Character Network

Thea is one of Ozaith's children and a sister of Zain and Anshar. She has long brown hair and dark blue eyes, and uses air and cosmic magic.

After Ozaith's death, she returned to Ishtanûr with Zain and accompanied him to confront the council. She had received little kindness from their father. She questioned Zain's decision to kill Alistair Koss and watched him claim Ozaith's throne.

Thea is one of Ozaith's children. After a time rift carried her into Varnhallow, she chose to stay with Xarion and his companions. In the past, she served the Order of Thalion Zenith as Theia, scouting enemy territory and commanding air mages in Rimvold.

Appearance

Thea has long brown hair and dark blue eyes.

Magic

Thea uses air and cosmic magic. She flew quickly enough to scout distant cities and return with urgent reports. In Luminaris, she combined the two schools to shield the city from sandstorms.

Since childhood, her body had been unable to sustain all her essence. Aether mages in Ulzathir kept her alive, and Anshar sought help for her in Thalassai. Isandriel later stabilized her essence.

History

Ulzathir and Varnhallow

Thea received little kindness from her father. When Ulzathir's civil war drove her and Anshar to Thalassai, they claimed to be traveling as diplomats. Anshar hoped Thalena could help her survive.

A time rift at the Feast of Magic carried Thea, Xarion and Aelius into Varnhallow. She spoke Malverine, helping them find work and shelter in Luminaris. She helped protect the city and grew close to Rhyzmar. When Anshar found her, she chose to stay with Xarion and his companions instead of leaving with her brother.

The Order

Thea joined the Order of Thalion Zenith in Rimvold, using the name Theia. She scouted enemy territory, sometimes with Rhyzmar or Mia, and commanded the city's air mages. She helped the Order conceal its presence and spread reports intended to turn the guardians against one another.

During Raphael's siege of Jazarel, she scouted enemy positions, warned citizens and helped them evacuate. Thamrielle's lava killed Mia during the fighting. Thea broke down on learning of her sister's death, and Aelius and Rhyzmar comforted her.

Relationships

  • Anshar: Her brother protected her and sought help for her health. She cared for him but chose to remain with her new companions when he found her in Varnhallow.
  • Xarion, Aelius and Rhyzmar: She wanted to be useful to them and became more confident as her health improved. Aelius and Rhyzmar comforted her after Mia's death.
  • Mia: Her sister became a close friend within the Order. Thea grieved her death at Jazarel.
  • Isandriel: He stabilized her essence. She reassured him that he was more than a weapon.

Appearance

Thea had long brown hair and dark blue eyes.

Personality

Thea was quiet and initially uncertain of her place among Xarion's companions. She wanted to be useful and became more confident as her health improved. She also formed cosmic barriers and enclosed herself and her companions in air high above the ground.

Thea later worked undercover in Ashenford, where she reported the regent's preparations and the arrival of two god wielders. She grieved Mia while continuing her work; Xarion and Aelius urged her to rest and reminded her that she still had a family among them.

Before the assault on Morindel, she carried Kallion away from Xarion's battle with Abraxas. When the void behind them exploded, her cosmic barriers and air magic helped them survive. She then commanded the Order's fleet against Morindel. After Kallion's attack on the city, she and the fleet returned to Rimvold.

Remaining in Skarnheim

When the survivors discussed where to settle, Thea rejected Ulzathir and Thalassai as homes. She chose to remain in Skarnheim with the people she knew and told Xarion she was happy there. She asked him to tell Anshar about her decision.

Relationships

  • Anshar: Her brother protected her and sought treatment for the essence her body could not sustain. She cared for him but chose to stay with her new companions when he found her in Varnhallow.
  • Xarion and Aelius: They became close friends during their years together. They comforted her after Mia's death, and Xarion worried about her safety on missions. She insisted that remaining with them was her own choice.
  • Rhyzmar: They worked together as scouts and remained companions in Skarnheim after the others left. He comforted her after Mia's death.
  • Mia: Her sister became a close friend within the Order. Her death left Thea grieving and lonely.
  • Isandriel: He stabilized her essence, allowing her to live without the constant danger of her childhood condition. She reassured him that he was more than a weapon.
