Position
Ravira is a Halvarim chosen who directs Rahmavir source policy and fights with high-level origin magic. She joins Zorath under Raphael and Gabriel in the final Rahmavir push toward Zarephon and the source during the Eternal War, then fights the returned Order during the Battle for Cyndarel.
She brings Maric and Nero into Rahmavir's source plans. Rahmavir believes the source is a breach to another world. Rahmavir's source plan seeks to close the breach, stop the Plains from consuming Valrindor, weaken essence magic, and make origin magic more common across the world. During Aldar's darkness trap around Cyndarel, Gabriel sends her to guide Raphael's trapped forces through the veil, and he later expects Ravira and Eliona to lead the surviving faction after Raphael and Zorath are gone.
Appearance
Ravira has auburn curls, brown eyes, and a controlled, stern bearing. In combat, her low essence makes her difficult to sense, forcing opponents such as Zayren to track her by sight.
Clothing & Attire
Ravira wears silver-hued armor during the Cyndarel escape. At formal Rahmavir gatherings, chosen leaders commonly wear full silver armor beneath finely crafted robes, and Ravira stands with Zorath at the center of Halvarim's final summit before Raphael's coalition moves against the returned Order.
Personality
Ravira is composed, practical, and guarded. Raphael raised and trained her and other current chosen leaders from childhood. She trusts him, knows his instability, and worries about what he withholds from his closest allies. After Azarion's hurricane goes out of control, she searches Therendros for earth mages to dig shelters and water mages to keep the tunnels from flooding.
Abilities, Skills & Magic
Ravira was born with origin magic through generations of cultivation. She is among Rahmavir's strongest origin-magic users.
Her main defense is a translucent liquid-glass or crystalline shield. She can seal rooms, protect travel groups, mute outside sound, redirect attacks, and resist violent battlefield forces. During the Cyndarel escape, Gabriel sends Ravira to guide Raphael's trapped forces through Aldar's darkness veil because her origin-magic crystal shields can carry groups through the darkness and her low essence keeps her difficult to detect.
Her offensive origin magic includes prismatic triangles, piercing rays, and thin black-line attacks that resemble black-line origin magic. Her attacks can pass through shields, cut through the air, detonate after impact, invert or splinter shield layers, and force powerful enemies such as Kaelion, Xarion, and Zayren into constant evasive movement. She casts with rapid hand motions, pointing gestures, and zigzagging movements that lack essence signatures.
Ravira can read origin spells. Origin spells break paper, so Zarephon's origin-magic spells are placed on walls or other solid surfaces. Much of the source-city mural writing is difficult for Ravira to understand.
Background & History
Ravira was born near Zarephon in the source region, where people carry little essence and some families cultivate origin magic across generations. She attended a local school there before moving to Halvarim and becoming a Rahmavir chosen leader.
Raphael has been in Ravira's life since childhood. He personally raised and trained current chosen leaders, and Ravira and Zorath steady him when his memory and behavior become erratic. Ravira trusts Raphael. Raphael withholds parts of his plans from her and other close allies.
When Maric and Nero arrive in Halvarim, Ravira and Zorath bring them into the source conspiracy. The Plains of Eternity are consuming Myrravel, Tharendur, and territory toward Ashtarim. Rahmavir's national belief focuses on the source. Closing the source will reduce essence and make origin magic more common across the world. Ravira takes Maric and Nero to Zarephon, shows them origin spell murals, and gives them Rahmavir's knowledge of inherited origin magic.
As Raphael's coalition expands its push against the returned Order, Ravira continues operating as a senior Halvarim chosen. She negotiates Serekhai military aid, stands with Zorath at the Halvarim summit, and joins Raphael's coalition against the returned Order. During the fighting near the source, Ravira fights Kaelion and then Xarion with prismatic attacks, black lines, and liquid-glass defenses.
After Zarephon is destroyed, Ravira is missing for a time. She survives and resurfaces when Gabriel locates her during the Cyndarel darkness trap, sending her toward the trapped city because her crystal shields can carry Raphael's forces through Aldar's veil. Ravira reaches the inner dome with Azarion, guides groups through the veil, and then fights outside beside Severin and Kjeldan against Zayren, Lythariel, and Remus. She survives the Battle for Cyndarel, is rescued by Azarion along with Eliona, and maintains shields during the flight to Therendros. Once there, she organizes earth mages to dig deep shelters and water mages to keep the tunnels from flooding. Gabriel gathers survivors and orders Rahmavir skyships toward the city.
Relationships
- Zorath: Ravira serves alongside Zorath among Rahmavir's chosen leaders. Their tribes have recently united, and Zorath is deeply concerned for her survival.
- Raphael and Gabriel: Raphael helped raise and train Ravira and current chosen leaders from childhood. Gabriel relies on Ravira's crystal shields during the Cyndarel escape and expects her to lead the surviving faction with Eliona after Raphael and Zorath are gone.
- Rahmavir allies: Ravira serves with Rahmavir chosen and allied forces. She fights and travels with Eliona, Azarion, Ralvon, Kjeldan, Soria, Severin, Myrelia, Torukhan, and Alice.
- Enemies: Ravira fights the returned Order and its allies, including Kaelion, Xarion, Zayren, Lythariel, and Remus.
