Valrindor Atlas Timeline

Morozkaya is a peninsula nation in southern Valrindor, ruled by Kazimir and Kyrana. Its capital, Kyranthos, stands near the foot of an immense volcano and guards the entrance to the peninsula. Pyrathalor makes his home in Morozkaya.

Geography

Glaciers and tall mountains occupy the peninsula’s center. Smaller peaks surround the central volcano, with fertile plains below. A great wall of volcanic stone protects the peninsula from attacks across the land.

Kyranthos has dark stone streets, water channels descending from the mountains, and lava channels that heat the city. Drozhvenya is a neighboring ally.

Volcanic soil supports extensive agriculture. Kyranthos has water channels descending from the mountains through its dark stone streets and lava channels built to heat the city. The Ember Spire houses the diarchs and council. Morozkaya trades metals used in Brighthaven’s constructs.

Government

Morozkaya is a diarchy supported by a council. Vianna took charge after the deaths of Kazimir and Kyrana. Ivan manages Kyranthos and its construction, while Liana is responsible for its water systems. Earth, fire, ice and water mages are responsible for the city’s stonework, heating and rivers.

Brighthaven and the Thalassai invasion

Under Kazimir and Kyrana, Morozkaya aided Isaac in overthrowing Alistair Voss in Radiance Prime. The agreement exchanged Morozkayan assistance and metals for Brighthaven ships, trade and future military aid.

Morozkaya joined the alliance against Thalassai. During the invasion, Thalena killed Kazimir and Kyrana with a black hole. She then exhausted Pyrathalor’s core while destroying the asteroid above Chronasis, killing the god. Pyrathalor’s death and the absence of the mages responsible for city services disrupted Kyranthos’s water and heating. Vianna ordered more earth, fire, water and ice mages trained to restore the rivers and heating.

Radomir joined the diarchy with Vianna’s support and Garrik’s endorsement. His work concentrates on agriculture and economic management.

History

Kyranthos and its founders

Dorian and Rowenna settled in an existing village and became its first diarchs. Dorian named it Kyranthos, and the couple redirected the river and developed the settlement. Pyrathalor helped them establish its water and heating systems.

At Isandriel’s request and with Thalion’s approval, Igor built the great wall to keep the peninsula out of the war against Malverand.

History

The Malverand city

An ancient city named Morozkaya stood on the peninsula during the Malverand Empire. Millions lived in the city and surrounding land. The peninsula supported farming, and its mineral-rich earth supplied raw materials for skyship construction.

In 1488 BX, Barachiel awakened the spiral shard above the city. Its shockwaves destroyed buildings, and it drained the essence of the people and land. Barachiel’s power destabilized the ground and triggered a tsunami. Remiella and Thamrielle raised the volcano to escape the wave, which Barachiel turned back before it engulfed them. The old city was destroyed, but volcanic soil supported farming as the peninsula recovered.

Kyranthos and its founders

Dorian and Rowenna settled in an existing village and became its first diarchs. Dorian named it Kyranthos, and the couple redirected the river and developed the settlement. Pyrathalor helped them establish its water and heating systems. Balthazar became the god’s first wielder and protected Morozkaya.

At Isandriel’s request and with Thalion’s approval, Igor built the great wall to keep the peninsula out of the war against Malverand. Dorian and Rowenna established the custom of burning the dead so their remains enriched the soil; Pyrathalor and Ignatius carried out their funeral.

After Radomir’s election, a timerift at the Ember Spire took Ivan, Kren, Zhang and Svanhild. Morozkaya continued supplying resources and mages to Garrik’s forces at Maraveth and retained its own council and government.
