Eira found The Eleven Stories of Old in the archives of Irrathis Magic School during her childhood, when she and Cassian studied there. It contained drawings of extraordinary magical feats, stories of Arcanis and fragments of the War of Scars. It also mentioned a golden creature.
After the cataclysm, Aldar consulted a copy in Irrathis’s archives. A prophecy described black skies, a broken world and two becoming one. He connected it to the collision of the cycles and Eira’s spiral.
The Wanderer’s editions
Eira later found another version in Tequaltor’s war school library. Amaril identified it as a book left by the Wanderer. Its accounts resembled the Irrathis copy, but passages had been altered or rewritten. Alongside Arcanis’s feats, it described Khoradyn building cities.
In Aurivallis, Mahina brought Cassian a Wanderer’s copy that combined the nations’ founding histories with myths of Arcanis. Its final warning, signed Draven Skyforge, urged someone to kill Meliora and the moon goddess within her to free the people. The signature allowed Cassian to identify Draven as the Wanderer of Xolterra; the warning guided his decision to confront the goddess.

Thalena compiled the companions’ histories into fuller volumes. Jin wrote his parts, while Eira and Kaelion contributed their stories, largely by recounting events for Thalena to record.
Thalena’s account
In Thalena’s Shores of Eternity, the collection comprised six books under the name The Eleven Stories of Old. The latest The Eternity Spiral began with Eira’s early work for the council and her assignment to retrieve the spiral shard. Thalena considered editing the collection into eleven volumes for public reading, but did not settle on that plan.
