During the Siege of Omberion, Halgarr patrolled outside the city with runic mages. After the city's shields broke, he caught Garrik in the air on his axe. Garrik ordered him to lead his men against the enemy skyships. Their flying weapons fell short of the ships, and Garrik ordered the army to retreat.
When Silas returned to Rimvold, he told Halgarr and Leif that Sigurd would not return and that Leif was the new king of Skarnheim.
