History
Xarion's government
Xarion gathered political support while Cassian protected villages and healed their inhabitants. Xarion became high arbiter with Cassian at his side.
Cataclysm and war
In the current Xalmyrran cycle, the Cataclysm flooded Irrathis through the overflowing Selvryn, sent lava through its southern borders and consumed the forests to its west. Xarion demanded Aurion surrender and proposed placing Soltheris under Teryndal's government. He marched his army toward Soltheris. When the two armies met, Eira's darkness magic engulfed the battlefield, killing tens of thousands.

History
Atraxi settlement
Xoltan welcomed the atraxi to Teryndal. Most settled in Irrathis, while others moved into Erenmyr and Keldara. Their language spread through Teryndal and the other Xalmyrran nations, becoming known as Xalmyrran.
Destruction and confinement
Jorhan's battle with Aldred devastated Teryndal's countryside and destroyed Irrathis. Belanor, Xandor, Khoradyn, Orin and Therion led thousands north through Erenmyr to a gate on an island west of the mainland. Jorhan remade Irrathis and the surrounding region with his spiral shards, then confined Xalmyrra behind storms and darkness. A shard in the Temple of no Return remade the region whenever it was consumed, sustaining the repeating cycles.
War of Scars
After Belanor told Kaldramir about Xalmyrra's confinement and the outside world, Kaldramir launched the War of Scars. The armies of Teryndal, Keldara, Soltheris and Erenmyr clashed in the war's greatest battle. Thalena, appearing as Arcanis on an astragon, halted the armies and ended the war.

End of confinement
During Kaelion's battle with Jorhan, Jorhan released the spell confining Xalmyrra, clearing the surrounding storms and much of its darkness. Thalena defeated Jorhan, and the repeating cycles ended. Pontarius sent ships from Thalassai toward Teryndal to establish contact.

Xarion declined to resume office on his return. Naryon became high arbiter, concentrating on infrastructure and food exports. He and Durvek, the new guildmaster, oversaw exploring missions for the Adventurers' Guild.
Most villages near the road toward Soltheris and Zeydrith have been rebuilt. The frictionless train departs from a station near southern Irrathis.
