Overview
The Thalion-Abraxas War is the cascading final campaign in which the Order's ancient offensive against surviving guardians converges with the struggle over the source. It spans Qarezh, the ocean route toward the Plains of Eternity, the source front, Maraveth, and Morindel. Raphael and Eremion move to kill Isandriel before he can unmake Thamrielle, Kharvos, and the source; Thalion counters from Qarezh; Thamrielle seizes the source; Myrravel and Ulzathir-aligned traitors attack the Ereshval army; and Abraxas enters the source battle as an unplanned force.
Campaign
Thalion brings over one hundred skyships to Qarezh with Sultan Tharezh's permission and hides much of the force around the city. His army launches as Raphael and Eremion move toward Isandriel's expedition. Raphael holds the ocean front with golden ice, meteors, ice monoliths, and a world-freezing spell. Eremion presses toward the source. Ignatius and John break Raphael's pressure with plasma, lightning, and Tianlei's power, allowing part of the fleet to drive Raphael back toward Maraveth. Thalion turns after Eremion.
At the source, Thamrielle takes the source, fights Isandriel, and tries to restore Kharvos and Barachiel through it. Viviana, Gren, Igor, Drashir, Vashir, and the Ereshval army face the Myrravel and Ulzathir traitor front. Viviana confronts and kills Aurelia, one of Abraxas's oracles, who drew her magic from the source, deceived the Order, and sought freedom for Myrravel.
Isandriel overpowers Thamrielle after driving her deep into a devastated crater. Abraxas arrives before Isandriel can unmake Thamrielle, Kharvos, and the source. Abraxas kills Thamrielle, takes the source, and severs Tal'Massar from Isandriel. Tal'Massar reaches Viviana's group, who call on Ozaith after the Order and its allies avenge Nadun by defeating the Ulzathir traitors. Ozaith then accepts a pact with Thalion.
Helena's abyss forces Thalion and Ozaith's fight against Abraxas through repeated resets. Thalion sends Helena away toward Haverloch and Ulzathir, destroys his own skyship to trigger another reset, and uses the repetitions to learn Ozaith's power. Abraxas can move within or resist the abyss, and his origin magic lacks an essence signature. Thalion and Ozaith read his attacks through movement, timing, and the source itself.
The Maraveth and Morindel fronts destroy both cities. Ignatius and John pursue Raphael to Maraveth and kill him after golden ice, plasma, and lightning reduce the city to blackened ruins. Kallion and Zero fight Eremion at Morindel; Zero traps Eremion in a singularity. Kallion brings down a sun-like cosmic-solar attack. The detonation destroys ancient Morindel, reshapes the region into the Morindel Sea, and leaves Eremion reduced to a surviving heart.
Abraxas's duel with Thalion and Ozaith destroys Qarezh. Abraxas's void rays hurl Thalion into the city, and the follow-up detonations vaporize it almost instantly. Thalion then uses Horol'Khai's name-triggered freeze, Ozaith-backed gravity, and Abraxas's own rifts to force Abraxas into a space-time collapse. The Valrindor phase of the war ends with Thalion, Ozaith, and Abraxas displaced from the world.
Aftermath
The Thalion-Abraxas War breaks the remaining guardian order. Raphael is destroyed at Maraveth, Eremion's body is destroyed at Morindel, Thamrielle dies at the source, and Qarezh is erased. Benedict and the surviving Order forces recover Isandriel, Tal'Massar, Viviana, Gren, Drashir, and Vashir before the tsunami from Qarezh's destruction reaches them.
The survivors keep the truth hidden. Ereshval begins rebuilding Qarezh with aid from Nahm and Haverloch. Benedict offers aid on the condition that the true cause remain secret. Maraveth and Morindel remain empty for years afterward. The destruction of Qarezh, Maraveth, and Morindel becomes part of the hidden record of the Fall of Malverand and the Thalion-Abraxas War.
After the Thalion-Abraxas War, Thalion's open leadership in ancient Valrindor ends. He loses Helena, accepts Ozaith's pact, vanishes from the world with Abraxas, and leaves Isandriel and the Order to preserve what can be saved. The later secrecy around the Order grows directly from this outcome.
