Overview
Drendyll Fropsnort is a Teryndal-born man who enters the tournament of champions in Xalmyrra, where Xarion defeats him almost immediately. He later stands near the southern Irrathis gate with Veyrik. After the storms around Xalmyrra dissipate, Drendyll works for the council from Kaldaryn, handles diplomatic contact with Xalmyrra, and pilots skyships as a messenger.
Kaldaryn
In Kaldaryn, Drendyll wears mismatched green robes, considers the city home, has no word from Renneth or Maric, and passes along news that Xandor and Sarine are doing well.
Drendyll waves away gathered citizens after Xarion's uncontrolled magical outburst, pilots Xarion, Aelius, and Jin to Vintergard, drops them near the hidden cavern there, and returns to Kaldaryn.
Attack on Kaldaryn
Drendyll warns the city when unfamiliar winged skyships approach from the mountains. During the Attack on Kaldaryn, he carries Kaelion aboard his skyship while Astheron and Splin shield them, then pilots the escape under pursuit by Azarion, Eliona, and their forces. After Kaelion orders him to save himself, Drendyll enchants his fist, breaks a window, and dives from the skyship before Kaelion's misfired spell destroys it. He survives and later returns to greet the group in Kaldaryn.
Xalmyrra and Thalassai Mission
Aldar sends Drendyll and Rhalyn toward Xalmyrra to brief Brynor after Raphael's faction blocks Cyndarel messages and threatens Xalmyrran defenses. After Brynor warns that Kaelric and Daryas might have sent an army through the tunnel, Drendyll leaves to pass on the warning, plans to visit Xandor, and then receives Brynor's order to continue to Thalassai with Xalmyrra's plans.
