Overview
Sarine is a skilled mage and trusted aide serving Teryndal's Assembly under Xarion. She handles Assembly administration, permits, scouting, oversight assignments, and emergency errands, often working near Maric, Xandor, and Naryon.
Personality and Abilities
Sarine is practical, observant, and sharp-tongued. She cautions Xarion about how he handles Aurion, jokes about being assigned to babysit a king, and cuts in when Aurion presses Lirien too hard after Lirien returns to Irrathis.
Sarine uses temporal magic. When Aurion asks her and Astheron to investigate a signal from the direction of Dravemir, she responds immediately and bends time around them as they descend toward the threat.
History
When Xarion prepares the Xalmyrran tournament of champions, he assigns Maric and Sarine to handle organizing and permits for the tournament. He later sends Maric and Sarine to scout recruits because Sarine's judgment is useful for evaluating them.
While Xarion is away from Teryndal, Sarine works through Assembly paperwork with Xandor and Naryon, asks after Maric, and covers the high arbiter's duties until he returns. She accompanies or follows Xalmyrran assignments in Irrathis, Soltheris, and Zeydrith, checking on Daryas and monitoring Aurion through the mountain project and the Dravemir warning.
After Xarion returns to Irrathis, Sarine is still active around the Assembly and joins later Xalmyrran gatherings that include Xandor, Naryon, Aldar, and Brynor. During the northern coastal defense, she is near Xandor and Teryndal's mages.
