Amos is one of Jorhan's researchers in Atraxis Prime and works alongside Jareth. They built the machinery Eira studied while seeking a way to save the atraxi.
He and Jareth pursued Eira to recover the spiral shard she carried. Silas and Deylin fought them near Valcirae. Amos cast purple flames with cosmic missiles hidden among them, but the two researchers withdrew by crushing devices that transported them away.
Amos was present when Eira was brought through the gate to Atraxis Prime. During her captivity, he treated her kindly and worked with her on Jorhan's research.
Amos is an atraxi scientist who worked for Jorhan alongside Jareth. Together they built gates, essence towers, and the machinery sustaining Atraxis Prime.
Magic
Amos casts purple flames with cosmic missiles hidden among them. He sparred regularly with Eira while she lived in Atraxis Prime, initially overwhelming her with his flames.
History
Amos and Jareth prepared the gate aboard Jorhan's last evacuation ship as their home system collapsed. The survivors passed through it into Xalmyrra. Amos adapted human essence technology, explored the western island, and upgraded Irrathis's essence tower. He used that tower to stabilize an atraxi whose body was collapsing from illness.
Using Belanor's temporal blinking, Amos and Jareth created spell containers that could activate gates. After Jorhan destroyed Xalmyrra, they built Atraxis Prime and its reservoir to sustain the survivors. They also built the Temple of no Return partly within the void. Jorhan placed a spiral shard inside it to restore Xalmyrra repeatedly. Amos continued searching for the other atraxi expeditions that had escaped their dying system.

Amos is an atraxi scientist from Atraxis Prime Alpha. He helped build the gates and essence machinery used by Jorhan's survivors in Valrindor and later became a brain scientist in the Malverand Intergalactic Empire.
Appearance and magic
Amos has dark hair and dark eyes. He casts purple flames with cosmic missiles hidden among them. He sparred regularly with Eira while she lived in Atraxis Prime, initially defeating her with his flames. His magic weakened almost entirely after he settled in the other Valrindor, where he was free of the atraxi illness.

Amos and Jareth pursued Eira to recover the spiral shard she carried. Silas and Deylin stopped them near Valcirae, and they escaped by crushing their gate devices. After Eira was captured, Amos helped her research the atraxi's survival and trained with her. He left through the void before Thalena's battle with Jorhan.
The Malverand Intergalactic Empire
Amos drifted through the void with a supply of gate activators until he reached Atraxis Prime Omega, where an atraxi expedition had preserved a gate for other survivors. He then settled in the empire's Valrindor. In its Chronasis, he fabricated a background, gained research clearance, and studied human thought processes for use in machines that calculated probable outcomes.
When Thalena arrived, Amos asked her to send gate schematics back to his earlier self on Alpha. They traveled to the ruined planet, where his equipment guided her temporal magic. She transmitted the information in microscopic fragments to the artificial system Amos had designed thousands of years before. Those fragments had provided the atraxi with their original gate designs. In exchange, Amos swore loyalty to Thalena and promised to help her return home.
He accompanied her to Zarephon and Maraveth. When Thalena later returned through the Chronasis gate, Amos was beside Jareth in the research center.

History
Escape from Atraxis
As the Atraxis system collapsed, Amos and Jareth prepared the gate aboard Jorhan's last evacuation ship. Activating it consumed the ship's available power and brought the survivors through the Aethrendar Gate into Xalmyrra.
Amos studied the humans' essence technology, traveled to the western island, and worked on gates and essence towers. Together with Jareth, he copied Belanor's temporal blinking into spell containers that could activate gates. When an illness caused atraxi bodies to collapse, he temporarily stabilized a sufferer using the essence tower he had upgraded in Irrathis. The illness had been induced by Isandriel and Tal’Massar, making the atraxi absorb too much essence.
After Jorhan destroyed Xalmyrra, Amos and Jareth built the new Atraxis Prime with a reservoir to sustain the survivors. They also built the Temple of no Return partly within the void. Jorhan placed a spiral shard inside it to restore Xalmyrra repeatedly, while Amos and Jareth continued searching for the lost atraxi expeditions.

Rescue through the void
The Thalena who traveled with Amos was a copy made of essence. After Rafe shot her in Maraveth, Amos scanned her body and identified its composition and disintegration. With the emperor's researchers, he searched the void and collected the original Thalena and her companions' fragmented essence into capsules.
He bargained with Oktlix for passage back to Chronasis, promising it a meeting with Thalena. Amos threatened to destroy the gates if it betrayed them. Working with Eamon, he prepared a long electrical cable through the void and delivered the capsules to the Chronasis gate. Ozaith reconstructed their bodies, while the rescuers restored the copy's memories to Thalena.
Amos reunited with Jareth and worked between the two worlds. After Hrzai was murdered, he recovered a capsule and preserved her remaining essence. He continued investigating a way to restore her with the empire's scientists, alongside research into the star shard and solar core.
Thalena’s account
In Thalena’s Shores of Eternity, Amos returned to the empire’s Valrindor during the Spiral Mandate attack. He searched for Kaelion and Xoh’Tenol from the surface, but disturbances in the atmosphere prevented him from locating them. He returned through the void and warned Thalena that a wave of plasma was likely to devastate much of the other Valrindor within hours.
