Atraxis Prime Alpha is a lifeless planet in the Atraxis system, formerly a homeworld of the atraxi. Its surface is gray and dusty, with distant mountains and crumbling ruins. It has no water or life, and its atmosphere is not breathable.

The atraxi received gate schematics on Alpha as data fragments, which Amos decoded with an artificial system he designed. More than six millennia later, he returned with Thalena and components of the original machine. Thalena used temporal magic to send the fragments back to the past, supplying the plans used to build the atraxi gates.
