History
Development of the Maraveth Core
Isandro recruited Eamon and Rafe to work with the goddess Helena and Mike on a system that could manage the empire and improve itself. Eamon helped complete the first Maraveth Core beneath Maraveth. When he, Rafe and Mike grew weak, Helena and Isandro preserved them for the future. Eamon was remade several centuries after Helena disappeared.
Work with Amos
When Thalena's essence copy was shot in Isandro's palace, Eamon helped examine its remains. He sealed the room and required Luke and Elias to keep the research secret. He then went to Zarephon, where he coordinated repairs after the breach enlarged and increased the drain of essence.
After Amos recovered Thalena and her companions' essence from the void, Eamon examined the capsules and distinguished Thalena's original essence from her copy. He could not reform their bodies. When Oktlix tried to draw Amos back toward the gate, Eamon pulled him away and ordered the gate shut. He opposed bargaining with the entity, but later helped Amos construct a cable to carry power through the void and open the gate in Chronasis on Thalena's Valrindor.
Eamon used the core to compare scans of Oktlix, Helena and Thalena. The results matched Oktlix's particles to the core's materials and linked its essence to Helena. He also proposed a small, secret research team to investigate how the two Valrindors occupied the same location.
Shard and solar core research
With Isandro and Amos, Eamon examined Thalena's star shard. He identified a circuit made from quasicrystals whose shape formed its instructions. He warned that those instructions might influence Thalena's desire to refill the shard with essence.
Eamon studied the solar core with help from Terry and Aaron. He proposed that it could replace a sun, but did not know how to activate such a function. He shared the star shard's crystal structure with Mike as they considered ways to combine essence and technology.
Thalena's account
In Thalena's Shores of Eternity, Jareth carried Eamon through the void after the attack on the empire's Valrindor. Eamon and Mike repaired equipment in Maraveth and restored its gate. They stayed behind after other survivors left, continuing their search for the solar cores.
Their work located Xoh’Tenol's body near the sun. Eamon prepared a spaceship and set its coordinates for Thalena and Mike to retrieve her. He and Mike planned to leave for Meridian afterward.
Relationships
- Rafe: Eamon and Rafe were inseparable friends before Isandro recruited them. They have worked together since the early development of the Maraveth Core.
- Isandro: Eamon advises the emperor and protects access to their research. He challenged Isandro's willingness to deal with Oktlix when the entity offered a way to rescue Thalena.
