Overview
Lirathen is a smaller trade city in Erenmyr and a border city near northern Teryndal. It serves travelers moving through the surrounding Erenmyran routes and nearby settlements.
City Features
Lirathen has white stone walls, open gates, and enchanted glass that catches the sunlight in blue refractions. Its markets sell essence cores, supplies, and Erenmyran robes, and its inns and timber buildings serve travelers moving through the border region.
The city's gates are staffed by guards. Council travelers can leave bonded frogs in their care during supply stops, and passersby gather when unusual mounts arrive.
History
Thalena travels through untouched Erenmyr, reaches Lirathen, earns coin with temporal magic, buys supplies and local robes, and leaves through fields of wild violets. Eira later searches the forests and open ground near Lirathen for years before locating a timerift by a small stream. Thalion Zenith, Eira, and Abraxas also emerge through that rift onto green plains not far from the city.
During the pursuit of Eira and Deylin, Lythariel names Lirathen as the destination ahead. Cassian and Lythariel reach the city first, buy essence cores, and continue north toward the village. Kaelion, Splin, and Brynor arrive soon afterward. Brynor rests at an inn. Kaelion buys essence cores and sleeps before following the route toward Valcirae.
Brynor, Renneth, Maric, Aldar, and airships also pass through or near the area. Brynor has a skirmish with a shadow near Lirathen before it flees toward Valcirae. Renneth and Maric reach the outskirts on bonded frogs and stop for essence cores. Aldar shapes a large patch of darkness near the city, and airships travel from Lirathen toward Zeydrith and onward through Soltheris.
