Overview
The Teryndal-Soltheris Battle is the confrontation at the border between Teryndal and Soltheris after the cataclysm. Xarion marches to force Aurion from power. Aurion brings Soltheris's army, a rebuilt orrery, and Eira to prove his orrery plan against the Land of Darkness.
Course
Xarion demands that Aurion step down and let Teryndal govern Soltheris. Aurion refuses, arguing that Soltheris will not submit and that Eira is necessary for his orrery plan. Eira pleads for both sides to stop. The armies begin to move.
Eira's power erupts at the start of the Teryndal-Soltheris Battle. Darkness tendrils break divine and cosmic shields, throw Aurion and Xarion down, consume the orrery, and spread across the field. Most soldiers and mages from both armies are swallowed by the surge. Cassian protects Xarion with repeated divine shields. Aurion, Kaelric, Lythariel, Kaelion, Astheron, Feryon, and a small number of strong mages survive in scattered pockets.
The eruption shifts from darkness into new growth. Grass, trees, and flowers spread over the ruined plain, the Land of Darkness recoils from the transformed ground, and the dead return to the world as life and death intertwine. Eira collapses as the power fades, and Deylin takes her away before Cassian or Aurion can reach her.
Aftermath
Both armies are reduced to a handful of survivors, with tens of thousands dead. Xarion fails to take Soltheris. Aurion fails to prove his orrery plan. Cassian, Lythariel, and Kaelion pursue Deylin toward Erenmyr and Lirathen. Aurion and Xarion face the cost of their escalation.
The transformed battlefield also draws an immediate attack from shadowed pursuers seeking Eira. Aurion, Xarion, Kaelric, Astheron, Rhyzmar, and allied survivors defend the surviving leaders long enough for the pursuit to split away from the battlefield.
