Overview
Qadir is Zain's master of scouts in Ulzathir, a senior officer based at the Council Citadel in Ishtanur. He has sand-brown hair and blue eyes, manages scouts and border intelligence, and serves on Zain's council beside Khezriya, Ishqari, and Zhulkar as Zain sends Ulzathir into Solvarria, Rimvold, Ishtanur, and Thalassai. Zain leaves him as temporary city governor during the invasion of Solvarria because Qadir can send word across the nation.
Service Under Zain
Qadir gathers scout intelligence from Ulzathir's borders before the invasion of Solvarria, recommends striking while Solvarria is vulnerable, and keeps Zain informed while the siege of Sol stalls. After Solvarria falls, his intelligence covers spies, envoys, Varnhallow, Archibald's loyalty, and activity from Thalassai and Haverloch.
When Raphael and Gabriel pull Ulzathir toward Varnhallow, Rimvold, Haverloch, and Thalassai, Qadir investigates Varnhallow's borders, asks Zhulkar to prepare the army, handles logistics with Khezriya, and expands the scout network around Rimvold and Ishtanur. During the Attack on Ishtanur, he is counted among Zain's strongest officers and moves through the defense as a fast aether mage.
Magic and Combat
Qadir uses aether magic for flight, speed, gravity manipulation, shields, and redirection. At Pyrenis, he deflects Jin's lightning by collapsing gravity, redirects frozen lightning swords, distorts rain and space with a massive aether surge, and holds a dense gravity field against Jin's assault.
Attack on Pyrenis
Before Zain's counterattack on Thalassai, Gabriel gives Qadir a hollow crystal that dissolves into his skin and leaves hollow lines across his face. Qadir joins the strike force against Pyrenis, splits south with another Ulzathir mage, and is intercepted by Jin. The crystal's lines fill with stored essence during Qadir and Jin's battle near Pyrenis.
After a shockwave from Qadir and Jin's battle near Pyrenis knocks both combatants down, Qadir lies motionless in a crater. The stored essence is about to explode, so Jin buries Qadir under earth and stone before fleeing with Cassian. The resulting essence detonation kills Qadir and devastates the Pyrenis region.
