Overview
Khezriya is Ozaith's daughter, Zain's sister, and the commander responsible for military matters on Ulzathir's council. She remains with Zain after Ozaith's death, plans troop movements, defends his rule in Ishtanur, and directs armies through the Ulzathir Invasion of Solvarria, the Siege of Rimvold, the Attack on Ishtanur, and the Thalassai Conquest of Solvarria.
Command
During the Solvarrian invasion, Khezriya readies the army, commands the landing at Solvarria's border, and asks Zain how to handle resistance after he orders her to avoid unnecessary harm to the land. When Solvarria falls, Zain leaves the final occupation to her while he returns to Ishtanur.
When Raphael and Gabriel pull Ulzathir into the Siege of Rimvold, Khezriya works through army readiness, routes, and deployments with Qadir. Zain later sends her and Qadir back to defend Ishtanur with Zhulkar. During the attack on Ishtanur, Khezriya and Qadir lead Ulzathir's armies, and Khezriya orchestrates the surprise counter-bombardment behind the city's divine and cosmic shields.
After Thalassai takes Solvarria, Khezriya argues for showing strength at Lumenbury before any diversionary strike against Thalassai. Zain assigns her to the Lumenbury front with Archibald while Ishqari remains in Ishtanur.
Magic
Khezriya uses divine magic to project tactical maps, form shields, heal injuries, and sense altered essence. She conjures glowing maps of divine essence during military planning, forms a thick divine shield during the negotiations outside Ishtanur, and heals Zain for days after his near-fatal return from Rimvold. When she examines Zain and Ishqari after their powers change, Ishqari's altered essence feels similar to a shard, and Zain's shard-bearing power comes from his pact with Khauren.
Relationships
Khezriya stands with Zain and accepts his pact with Khauren before Ulzathir's council. She is aligned with Ishqari, Qadir, Zhulkar, Archibald, and Ulzathir's military command. In the shield-line standoff outside Ishtanur, she refuses Simon's offer to stand down and argues that Zain has been good for Ulzathir and its people.
