History
Ishqari projected her designs for sleeker aetherships and winged craft with cosmic magic. She agreed with Zain that Ozaith had held back Ulzathir's technological progress and expressed confidence in Zain's rule.
During the invasion of Solvarria, Zain assigned Ishqari and her researchers to study the technology in the territory they captured. With Archibald's cooperation, they began adopting Solvarrian technology and tested some of it in sandships.
Overview
Ishqari is a daughter of Ozaith and a divine, ice and cosmic mage from Ulzathir. She served as head researcher on the council under her brother Zain.
Appearance
Ishqari has white eyes, long white hair and white lines resembling frost across her skin. Before receiving Gabriel's crystal, she had black hair and nearly black eyes and wore black robes. She later wore white.
History
Ishqari supported Zain's plans to advance Ulzathir's technology. She prepared designs for smaller aetherships and engines, then worked with researchers to adopt Solvarria's technology during its occupation. They tested some of their work in sandships.
Gabriel taught her to cast larger blizzards and gave her a crystal shaped like a snowflake. The crystal entered her body, increasing her essence and making her colder to the touch. White lines spread across her skin, and her hair and eyes turned white.
At Rimvold, Ishqari and Gabriel raised a blizzard against Virel's army. Casting it left her unable to defend herself or use other spells, so Gabriel protected her. Maric broke through the storm and fought Gabriel, and Ulzathir abandoned the city.
Ishqari and Gabriel later raised another snowstorm behind Thalassai's army at Ishtanûr. Alistair struck it with powerful cosmic beams. After Ulzathir's defeat, Ishqari accepted confinement deep underground because her crystal could explode like those within Qadir and Myrelia. She endorsed Anshar's appointment as emperor in a signed note. Khezriya is confined with her, while researchers work to remove the crystals.
In Thalena's Shores of Eternity, Ishqari's crystal later exploded with others. The desert collapsed and displaced the lake feeding Ishtanûr's river, flooding the city.
