Overview

Anti-magic armor is lightweight silver armor crafted, supplied, and fielded by Rahmavir. Rahmavir soldiers, guards, mages, chosen, and allies use it to repel magical attacks, obscure magical signatures, and fight beside spellblaster crews.

Properties

The armor is thin, form-fitting, and agile enough for Azarion and Eliona to conceal beneath white robes. Its material is light, harder than steel, and difficult for Thamrielle to manipulate. It repels magic. Strong impacts can still shatter or break it.

Anti-magic armor can repel attacks such as cosmic beams and can make silver-armored Rahmavir personnel difficult to read through essence sensing. Silver-armored Rahmavir personnel give off almost no readable essence, and magical probing can expose infiltrators to anti-magic armored guards. Blackcrag's defenders use Rahmavir antimagic armor during their defense against Garrik.

History

Rahmavir already uses anti-magic armor during Thamrielle's visit to its halls of chosen, alongside early cylindrical weapons. Rahmavir's chosen craft or provide suits for allies such as Alistair, and the armor remains standard equipment for Rahmavir military forces.

The armor is used in Rahmavir military contexts from Garadon and Halvarim to Blackcrag and Varnhallow. Near Varnhallow, Alistair and Rahmavir chosen use antimagic armor during a surprise attack on Haverloch mages before a spiral shard wielder forces the attackers to retreat.
