Scouting and command
Before Ulzathir invaded Solvarria, Qadir gathered reports from its borders and urged Zain to strike while Solvarria was unprepared. Zain left him as temporary governor of Ishtanûr. Qadir kept him informed during the invasion, but failed to place spies in Thalassai, whose coast was heavily defended. After Solvarria fell, he urged Zain to return to the capital.
When Raphael offered Malverand technology in exchange for attacking Rimvold, Qadir sent scouts to investigate Varnhallow's borders and asked Zhulkar to prepare for Ulzathir's army. After Rimvold was taken, Zain sent Qadir and Khezriya back to defend Ishtanûr under Zhulkar's command. Qadir requested more scouts before returning, then kept Zain informed of the capital's defenses and nearby enemy activity.
Attack on Thalassai
After Thalassai conquered Solvarria, Qadir prepared a detailed counterattack plan to draw its forces away. Before departing, he accepted a crystal from Gabriel. It dissolved into his skin, leaving hollow lines on his face and increasing his speed.
Qadir joined Zain's attack near Pyrenis and fought Jin Leiyun. The crystal's lines filled with essence during their fight. An unseen force struck both men, knocking Qadir into a crater. Jin buried him beneath earth and stone after Tianlei warned that the stored essence would explode. Qadir detonated, destroying the surrounding coast. Abraxas drew much of the explosion into her voids to protect Thalassai, but died from the damage.
The attack drew Thalassai's forces back from Solvarria, restoring Archibald's control of the nation.
