Valrindor Atlas Timeline

Durakarn is a nation in southern Valrindor, near Brighthaven and the borders of the Land of Darkness. Hunting and farming coexist with advanced essence technology and skyships. Durakarn and Brighthaven share darkness suppressor technology.

The surviving southern lands have rolling green fields, sapphire lakes, pine forests and clear turquoise rivers beneath snowy mountains.

History

After Arcanis defeated the darkness, Isaac reported that Durakarn was connected to the world again and its people free.

The surviving southern lands have rolling green fields, sapphire lakes, pine forests and clear turquoise rivers beneath snowy mountains. Its capital is Drakarim, where local skyships use Brighthaven designs obtained through Isaac.

History

Durakarn was a province of the Malverand Empire under Isandriel, who later entrusted the region to Cormac. Jorhan's spreading darkness defeated efforts by Isandriel and Thamrielle to oppose it. The western territories were evacuated to Sigvariel's and Jeremiah's lands, leaving only a fragment of the old homeland.

After Arcanis defeated the darkness, Isaac reported that Durakarn was connected to the world again and its people free.

After his defeat, Jorhan cleared the darkness around Durakarn's ruined ancient capital, which predates the Cycles. He continued south along the coast, clearing abandoned settlements. Rowan, the country's military leader, directed him to a smaller ruined town, where his final clearing exposed vast surrounding lands. Jorhan and Eshmir died there. This ancient capital and the final town are distinct from modern Drakarim. Afterward, Rowan agreed to meet Irrathis's leaders.

In 5368 AX, Rowan intended to reclaim the lost lands. Brynor, Aurion and Lirien returned to Irrathis through the gate near Drakarim.

Recent contact

Remaining darkness still obstructs travel to Durakarn. When Zayren and Zephyra visited, its leaders expressed interest in the Valrindor Council. A plan was made for Lythariel to clear a route toward Brighthaven.
