Maraveth International Station has a clear glass dome and two levels containing twelve tracks. Local transport is managed by different sections and corporations, while the government oversees the network linking cities, nations and islands. The grand starport handles most interplanetary arrivals and departures. Warpships and smaller craft use navigation controlled largely by the imperial core.

Government and connections
Rafe oversees Maraveth and advises Isandro. The Maraveth Core beneath the palace coordinates the city’s automatic machinery and its communications with other imperial systems. Because essence can disrupt this technology, visiting mages must suppress it and wear clothing that contains it. A gate in the Maraveth Core Chamber connects through the void to Chronasis; a cable guides travelers between the two sides.
History
Lothar established councils in both Valrindors and named their cities Maraveth. This city developed under Hyperion, while its native counterpart developed through essence technology. Helena and Isandro established the palace’s core research, and their machinery became part of the city’s infrastructure.
Thalena’s account
In Thalena’s Shores of Eternity, bombardment and falling ships devastated imperial Valrindor, forcing an evacuation through the palace gate. Thalena redirected the core’s cables into the void for Oktlix, and its protective glass fractured. On her return, Maraveth was covered in dark fog, with the palace damaged and its underground chamber toxic. Mike and Eamon restored power to the gate, allowing refugees to return. Years afterward, a ship from Meridian brought news that navigation had been rebuilt there, and Valrindor’s surviving population began leaving the planet.
