Overview
The Kaldaryn Peace Campaigns are Khoradyn and Garrik's peacekeeping movement across western and central Valrindor, using mobile armies, diplomacy, and forced settlements. The movement begins before Kaldaryn has a name: Garrik wants to create lasting peace, Khoradyn shares the mission after arriving from Xalmyrra, and their combined armies grow around Khoradyn's public leadership with Garrik as strategist and second in command.
Founding Kaldaryn
Khoradyn and Garrik's army gathers survivors after the attack on Hengzhou by Zharrek's shapers and builds the settlement that becomes Kaldaryn City. Khoradyn continues ranging across Valrindor and asks Garrik to lead the people. Garrik names the new nation the Kaldaryn Protectorate. From Kaldaryn, Garrik coordinates peacekeeping armies through the protectorate and builds alliances with leaders across Valrindor.
Valrindor Peacekeeping
The Cloudrift intervention answers Thundermarch's request for aid. Khoradyn leads volunteers from Kaldaryn, defends Cloudrift, then forces the leaders of Shaoying and Linsothar into a tense peace by ordering them to prioritize the shapers and remain friendly with Thundermarch. Later, Kaldaryn's armies move out to broker or enforce peace across the continent, secure alliances with neighboring nations and peaceful city-states, and bring much of western Valrindor under Garrik's control.
Aftermath and Reputation
The Kaldaryn Peace Campaigns create Kaldaryn's regional power base and feed into the Central Valrindor Alliance under Garrik. After Isaac recruits Garrik into the Order, Garrik brings the same armies and allies against Shroudvale's shapers, Eremion, and Malverand remnants near Maraveth. For Kaldaryn's allies, the Kaldaryn Peace Campaigns are voluntary peacekeeping. Enemies such as Raphael call Garrik a warmonger. Khoradyn answers that Garrik's followers choose to stand with him.
