Overview
The Malverand Intergalactic Empire fully controls Proxion as one of its seven imperial systems. It is the closest imperial system to the old Atraxis system. The system contains planets including Alecton and Draxil.
Evacuation and Attack
An imperial broadcast orders every planet in Proxion to evacuate immediately. Warpships are dispatched, and the rest of the empire is expected to take in refugees. The Maraveth Core keeps Proxion's communications, official-ship tracking, steering, and navigation systems running during the evacuation; shutting the core down would leave the system's people to die.
Isandro visits Alecton during the evacuation. The attackers later stop striking the planets and begin bombarding a Proxion sun. Malverand deploys advanced autonomous constructs in the system to identify and counter the threat.
Kytherite and Breach Pressure
Draxil holds the richest Kytherite deposits. The Spiral Mandate cuts Proxion off first to deny the empire Draxil's Kytherite output. Malverand is trying to sustain or replace its core during the Spiral Mandate attack on Proxion. The Mandate's stealth technology makes imperial weapons struggle to catch the attackers.
