The Proxion system is a solar system in the Hyperion Spiral, fully controlled by the Malverand Intergalactic Empire. It is the imperial system closest to the old Atraxis system.
The imperial authorities ordered every planet in Proxion evacuated and sent large warpships to carry its people away. Other imperial worlds were required to take in the refugees.

Stars and planets
The system has two artificial suns: a larger yellow sun and a smaller amber sun. Both radiate essence.
Alecton is its main planet, with winding continents, green terrain and deep blue oceans. Large cities stand across its surface, including Caldora. Draxil is a foggy cyan planet mined for kytherite, with a small population devoted to the mining operations. Large stations orbit Draxil, and a semi-ring around the planet extracts kytherite from its atmosphere.
Spiral Mandate attack
The Spiral Mandate attacked Proxion with ships concealed by their gravity technology and bombarded one of its suns. The imperial authorities ordered every planet in Proxion evacuated and sent large warpships to carry its people away. Other imperial worlds were required to take in the refugees. Most rural settlements on Alecton had been evacuated, while liquid crystal domes protected its cities.
Xarion located the concealed enemy ships through their effect on gravity. Guided by Xoh’Tenol, Kaelion shaped essence from a solar flare into an immense spear and fired it at the fleet. The detonation destroyed the attacking ships. Alecton’s atmosphere burned most of the debris, and the mining belt around Draxil survived. Isandro announced the victory and held a celebration in Caldora.
