Overview
Victor is the regent of Ashenford, an industrial nation in Valrindor with forges, mechanisms, and constructs. He runs machine experiments, uses Eira's magic to test Ashenford's devices, and pursues trade for the city.
Ashenford Experiments
Victor houses Eira and Lythariel after they reach Ashenford from a gate, has them taught Malverine, and gives Eira books and maps for her study of Valrindor. He uses Eira's darkness magic in experiments with Ashenford's steel devices, hoping their magic can strengthen the city's inventions and trade. Lythariel distrusts him because of his devices, and the two women leave Ashenford at night.
Valrindor Politics
Victor attends Sigurd's meeting of Valrindor leaders in Skarnheim as Ashenford's regent. Victor complains that Eira and Lythariel accepted Ashenford's lessons and investment before disappearing; their strange magic looked like darkness to him. He later promises to send aid to the southern territories.
Later Contact
When Eira returns to Ashenford, Victor welcomes her and her companions to dinner. Ashenford is prospering, and ominous activity is happening beyond the northern wastelands. Ashenford has started building its own airships, using designs inspired by broken parts from the Varnhallow attacks. The attacking machines resemble Malverand technology.
