Krexyn is an essence shaper from Shroudvale and an old friend of Silas. He arrived in Xalmyrra looking for Silas and was brought before the council in Irrathis.
Appearance
Krexyn has cracked skin the color of ash, with glowing veins of essence.
History
Krexyn was born a shaper rather than transformed from a human. He shared a house and a struggling farm with Silas, then known as Malcairn, in Shroudvale. He understood why humans feared their kind but disagreed with Zharrek's plans against them. With his own essence running low, he accompanied Malcairn to Zharrek's citadel in the hope of recharging.
After arriving in Xalmyrra, Krexyn defended himself against Renneth with cosmic barriers but did not retaliate. He surrendered and accepted Rhalyn's bonds. Rhalyn recognized enough of his language to understand his name and demanded guarantees that he would not be harmed. She explained his connection to Silas when the captors brought him to the council.
Aldar ordered Krexyn's release and assigned Rhalyn to teach him Xalmyrran, with Renneth and Maric as his guards. Krexyn later addressed the council in the language he was learning and identified Shroudvale with the former Malverand Empire.

Stormhaven
Krexyn later lived with Silas and Lythariel near Stormhaven. When Silas returned in a human body, he offered to see whether Krexyn could undergo the same change. Krexyn declined: replenishing his essence had become easier, and he was content with his existing body.
