Overview
The Calthorpe Ocean is a vast ocean in Valrindor, near Calthorpe, Kalendros, Tyralorn, and Therendros. Travelers use it as a coastal landmark and route through northern and coastal Valrindor.
Geography
Kalendros is a smaller fishing city along the Calthorpe Ocean, with light-blue wooden buildings, delicate bridges over calm waters, docks, sea breezes, and ocean views. Inland routes from Kalendros lead into Calthorpe, Crosford, and the Calthorpe Mountain Range toward Ashenford.
The ocean also sits on routes between Skarnheim, Vintergard, Rimvold, and Morindel. Thalena crosses the ocean and Calthorpe on the route toward Rimvold and Varnhallow, relying on landmarks and the coastline.
History
During the Fall of Malverand, Zero uses Tyralorn near the ocean as a refugee cover story while Jeremiah and Uriandel move toward their Crosford-plains clash. Thalion later follows Jeremiah's skyship formation over the Calthorpe Ocean while ground forces disembark near the coast.
In later journeys, Eira's group stops at Kalendros before crossing into Calthorpe and continuing through Crosford and the Calthorpe mountains. Nero and Nerissa travel over the vast Calthorpe Ocean during their Valrindor exploration, and Gabriel directs survivors to gather in Therendros near the ocean after the Battle for Cyndarel.
