Marcus was a mage from Brighthaven, Vivian's husband and the father of Julian and Vianna. He died during Shroudvale's attack on Hengvaris.
History
Marcus lived with his family in Radiance Prime. Damian told him that Isaac would teach Vianna to protect her, but shared little of the danger surrounding her.
Alistair Voss wanted to use Vianna as proof that Pyrathalor was returning. Isaac helped the family escape Brighthaven. Marcus steered their boat while Isaac protected it from attacks. They settled in Hengzhou, where Marcus hoped to return home once Isaac found them and it was safe.
Marcus, Vivian and Julian were level 8 mages. They fought Shroudvale's shapers when the city was attacked, while Vianna hid in their home. Marcus and Vivian were killed; Julian escaped.
Relationships
- Vianna: His daughter. Marcus insisted that she continue her magic training and accepted Isaac's harsh methods, despite Vivian's objections. He agreed to consider another school if Vianna failed to improve after one more year.
- Isaac: Marcus trusted him to protect Vianna and regarded him as a good man. He hoped Isaac would find the family again and help them return to Brighthaven.
