Overview
The Anti-Shroudvale Alliance was the human coalition that opposed Zharrek and the shapers of Shroudvale in the Great Shaper War. Members include Skarnheim, Thundermarch, Shaoying, Linsothar, and Hengvaris. Other human nations also fought in the alliance or supplied forces to it.
History
After Shroudvale grew in strength and pushed beyond its borders, the receding darkness gave surrounding human nations room to unite against it. Their combined armies overwhelmed the shapers, broke Zharrek's expansion, and left most of the shapers dead. The victors stopped before Shroudvale's most corrupted lands and built massive walls to seal the surviving shapers away from Valrindor.
Containment and Later Breakout
The alliance left Shroudvale contained for centuries. The surviving shapers rebuilt behind the walls. In later generations, Shaoying, Hengvaris, and Linsothar maintained a fragile defensive pact meant to hold back the shapers. Shaoying's expansion weakened regional stability, and the later shaper breakout devastated Hengvaris, Shaoying, and Linsothar.
