Overview
The Navan Sea is a sea in Eastern Valrindor, bordered by Haverloch, Varnhallow, and routes toward Ulzathir. Valalav is Haverloch's maritime-trade and naval-fleet port on the sea, Lysaraine stands near it from the Varnhallow side, and Arcanis Village lay close to its coast near Haverloch's northwestern border.
Geography and Travel
Routes along and across the Navan Sea connect Axanaxa, Valalav, Xylyx, the approach toward Brahzûn, and the coast near Arcanis Village. Virel crosses the sea toward Axanaxa, follows its coastline north toward Ulzathir, and later returns along it past Haverloch trade ships. The coastline includes cliffs, light palms, rivers, desert, fertile plains, grasslands, and forests.
The sea is also a recurring approach to Varnhallow. Most of Virel's attempted entries into Varnhallow run through the Navan Sea, Lysaraine overlooks the same sea from the Varnhallow side, and Kazehiro's exploration of the sea's rumors brings him close enough to Varnhallow to be trapped by a timerift.
Battle of Valalav
During the Battle of Valalav, water from the Navan Sea is dragged far inland through the ruined area around Arcanis Village. The sea surges back through the craters as a tidal wave, freezes under Raphael's advancing ice, and moves again when the ice breaks. Afterward, water and fish from the sea fill the scarred terrain around the battlefield.
