Garrik and Astrid spent years traveling between the region's cities and villages, settling feuds and confronting bandits and rogue mages. Their growing following joined Khoradyn's army, which became the foundation of Kaldaryn.

During the fighting at Cyndarel, Azarion summoned a hurricane that devastated much of central Valrindor. Melandor was among the cities it ravaged; it was later rebuilt to house the Valrindor Council.
