Overview
Magnus was the regent of Morindel after the old nation had given way to a loose alliance of city-states. Early in his regency, Nero visits Morindel City to ask about the market-square fountain, the reputed site of Eremion's final battle. Magnus remains regent during Blackcrag's later diplomacy with Morindel and continues serving for decades.
Diplomacy
Magnus receives Ulrich, Garrik, Astrid, and the Blackcrag delegation during talks over the shapers and Shroudvale. He agrees to a defensive alliance with the Blackcrag Dominion, later hosts Garrik on return visits to Morindel, visits Omberion, and joins the talks that create a formal trade route between Morindel and Blackcrag.
During the first Blackcrag visit, Magnus wears a crystal heart from the Morindel vaults as a necklace. After Astrid senses essence in it, he trades the heart and additional Morindel vault artifacts for a large basalt essence core. Astrid's study of the heart later restores Eremion in Blackcrag.
Eremion and Later Regency
The crystal heart that restores Eremion came from Magnus through Astrid's trade, and Eremion wants to bring Morindel back under Blackcrag's rule. Eremion later holds a productive meeting with Magnus. Magnus remains Morindel's regent for decades and dies of old age.
