Overview
The geometric core is the missing Malverand god core that moves from Arcanis to Jareth and then to Nahm. Raphael orders the missing core recovered or the god within it killed, and Virel later carries it as Nahm's geometric or symmetrical shard.
Form and Use
The core is a small geometric object with a changing form. When Jareth carries it, it alternates between a sphere, triangle, and rectangle depending on how it is viewed. He keeps it for millennia after arriving in Atraxis, and its ordered design becomes a symbol for Haverloch's future.
As Virel's shard, the core lets Nahm speak, observe events, return divine essence to it, and coordinate Haverloch's response to distant threats.
History
After Arcanis disappears from Malverand, the geometric core is missing from the inventory, and Raphael's standing instruction is to recover it or end the god within it. Barachiel and Arcanis had the closest control over the inventory.
After Arcanis reaches Vireen and dies, Eira recovers the core from his pockets. She later places the geometric god core with Jareth before sending him after Belanor toward Atraxis.
Jareth carries the object through his hidden life as Jarin Jassaro and gives it to Nahm in Axanaxa. Nahm is a cosmic god before receiving the core; after the gift, Nahm and his followers become more intensely devoted to symmetry.
After Nahm chooses Virel, Virel carries the same core as a geometric shard in his palm as Nahm's wielder.
