Overview
The Thalassai year count uses AX and BX across Valrindor. Year 0 marks the first settlers in Xolterra; AX dates come after that point, and BX dates come before it.
Use
The count comes from Thalassai. Ancient Thalassai sailors brought their year count to Haverloch; in Haverloch, the count is AX. Ulzathir also uses the same count.
The notation places events from ancient Malverand dates such as 2151 BX, 1052 BX, and 1011 BX to AX years such as 2103 AX, 5365 AX, and 5368 AX. Eira uses BX dates when orienting herself after a timerift sends her into ancient Valrindor, and instructs Ozaith to wake the group in 5369 AX.
Local Exceptions
Varnhallow measures local time inside its temporal anomaly in "springs." Its internal dates use that local count.
