Overview
The Celestial Nexus is a formal meeting complex in southern Chronasis built for Thalassai's archons and officials. The Council of Archons uses it for archon gatherings, succession votes, policy discussions, and public transitions.
Design and Layout
The Nexus is a massive acropolis-like structure with gleaming marble colonnades, broad steps, Terranova vines, fountains channeling Thalmyris's waters, reflective pools, Pyrenis braziers, and floating light orbs. Its great central chamber stands beneath the open sky and is lit by natural and magical light. Archon meetings use a curved or half-circle table, with officials, administrators, governors, attendants, legati, and visitors gathering around the complex.
Windweavers serve the Nexus during archon meetings. The river to Thalmyris and Chronasis windweaver traffic carry visitors to the complex, and delegations from Aetherion, Chronasis, Pyrenis, Terranova, and Thalmyris gather there for archon business.
History
Thalena is unanimously voted archon of time at the Celestial Nexus, then declares herself archon of Space and Time. Later meetings there bring together Thalena, Zephyra, Naryon, Calythos, Ignaros, Cassian, Kaelion, Arinella, Aelius, Virel, legati, and regional administrators to discuss trade, rebuilding, regional conditions, the southern darkness, Xalmyrra, and Thalcoris.
After Thalena's apparent loss, Cassian returns to the Celestial Nexus and is named the new archon of time. Cassian later moves frequent archon business to a smaller official building near the outskirts of Chronasis because the Nexus is impractical for regular meetings.
