Kalyx was the head consul of Thiravos, based at the Pelagos Consulate. He was a lightning mage and one of Nero's surviving old friends.
Appearance
Kalyx was elderly, with white hair and a white beard. He wore deep teal robes.
History
Kalyx welcomed Renneth and Maric to Pelagos. He told them that Pyragos had left to seek Isandriel. Though Thiravos had avoided mainland Valrindor, Kalyx favored renewed contact and proposed sending a diplomat when the two returned to Xalmyrra.
As the conflict with Raphael approached, Kalyx called for Thiravos's army to prepare. He later accepted Nerissa's order to ready its skyships for an attack on Xalmyrra, informing Brontes and joining the invasion fleet.
During the landing in Erenmyr, Nerissa gave him a thundercloud crystal supplied by Gabriel. Kalyx absorbed it and fought with lightning bolts against a mage whose starfield barriers blocked his attacks.
Kalyx died during the invasion. Brontes was elected to succeed him as head consul, with Damarra serving as his advisor.
