Overview
Life magic is a rare magic school for creating and restoring life. Eira and Lythariel both use it directly. The school can mend wounds, grow living material, and turn darkness or corrupted ground back into green land.
Eira and Lythariel both wield life magic alongside darkness magic. Eira loses both schools when she cuts away the hand bearing the spiral mark. Lythariel continues using life magic in Valrindor after Eira's loss.
Appearance and Uses
Eira's life magic forms soft, luminous strands or tendrils of life energy. She uses it to seal Lythariel's wounded hand, grow flexible twigs into travel bindings, and draw food from living trees for survival. In combat, she can force trees, vines, branches, and foliage up through an arena floor.
Lythariel uses life magic on a regional scale. With Silas alongside her in Valrindor, she reverses the darkness's creep, making grass, trees, flowers, and fertile ground return near places such as Stormhaven, Bjarnholt, and Skarnheim.
Eira later restores the battlefield where her darkness had spread: grass, trees, and flowers push through the damaged ground as her life magic returns essence to the land and leaves a vast green area behind.
Life magic can heal wounds and restore damaged land. Eira heals with life magic before she knows divine magic. Lythariel's battlefield healing grows green light, vines, and grass around wounds and keeps Remus stable.
Origin and Limits
Eira's life magic emerges from the same spiral-shard event that creates darkness magic and gives Lythariel life. The power involved is creation of both life and death, with life magic turning darkness back into life.
After Eira severs the spiral-marked hand, her darkness magic and life magic are gone. Lythariel continues using life magic in Valrindor, where her magic turns darkness green across the land.
