The Glaive of Frost and Fire is the weapon wielded by the god of frost and fire in his battle with Thalena. Its dual blades combined molten heat with freezing cold, and its strikes melted the stone beneath them.
The god threw the glaive through a golden barrier and into Cassian's chest. Heat and frost continued to damage Cassian while the weapon remained embedded. Thalena stopped time around him so he could be carried to safety. Astryx removed the glaive as Arinella treated him.
The Glaive of Frost and Fire is the weapon carried by Pyrathalor, combining molten fire with frozen shards. Pyrathalor and the Morozkayan council also made a smaller glaive for Vianna, suited to her size and magic.
Form and use
Pyrathalor's strikes melted stone, froze the surroundings and pierced magical barriers. His glaive was far larger than Vianna's and struck with greater force.
Vianna's weapon responded to her spells with paired fire and frost. She coated it in plasma, used it in close combat and threw it at distant targets. She could cut through Alistair Voss's cosmic barriers with it, but could not break Thalena's golden shield during the invasion of Chronasis.

After Pyrathalor returned to Morozkaya, he and the council presented Vianna with her smaller weapon. Both carried their glaives during the attack on Brighthaven, where Vianna killed Alistair Voss. She retained hers after fighting Thalena in Chronasis.
The Glaive of Frost and Fire is a magical steel weapon carried by Pyrathalor. He also helped make a smaller glaive for Vianna, who carried it into ancient Malverand and gave it to him before his awakening. He reforged her weapon with a longer shaft and wider twin blades.

History
Reforging in Malverand
While living in Malverand's past as Viviana, Vianna gave her steel glaive to the obsidian being who became Pyrathalor, allowing him to alter it. He melted the metal and enlarged its shaft and blades at a forge. She then gave him the burning frost crystal that awakened him as the god of frost and fire. The crystal became his core; the glaive was a separate weapon. He carried it to Morozkaya when he took charge of the land.

The Glaive of Frost and Fire is a magical steel weapon wielded by Pyrathalor and later Aelius. Pyrathalor also helped make a smaller glaive for Vianna, who carried it into ancient Malverand and gave it to him before his awakening. He reforged that weapon with a longer shaft and wider twin blades.
Form and use
In Pyrathalor's hands, the glaive combined molten fire with frozen shards. His strikes melted stone, froze the surroundings and pierced magical barriers. When Cassian recovered it from storage in Chronasis, it was nearly as tall as he was. Its blade lacked a sharp edge, but responded to any kind of essence.

She cut through Alistair Voss's cosmic barriers with it, but could not break Thalena's golden shield during the invasion of Chronasis. Aelius likewise charged the glaive with plasma and used resonance waves to destroy rocks and splinters while flying back to Kaldaryn ahead of a hurricane.

Aelius
Cassian offered to return Pyrathalor's glaive to Vianna, then retrieved it from the store of unused weapons in Chronasis and gave it to Aelius. Aelius charged its handle and edges with plasma. Vianna later declined his offer to return it because it was too large for her.
At the Valrindor Council headquarters, the glaive rested beneath a map of Valrindor. Xarion showed it to Ravira while recounting the loops he knew.
