Large serpents are serpent-form darkness creatures encountered during the renewed darkness outbreak in the southern region and islands of Thalassai. During Naryon and Pontarius's expedition, they attacked alongside wolf-like creatures and half-formed humanoid things; the expedition survived because Pontarius and skilled fighters were aboard. After the expedition, Thalena orders the legions briefed on beasts born of darkness using Jin Leiyun's updated darkness-creature material.
