Overview
Phariel is Thamrielle's trusted second-in-command and a commander of the Malverand troops sent to fight alongside Rahmavir against the Plains of Eternity. He ranks among Thamrielle's strongest warriors, and the Rahmavir front stays quiet under his command while Thamrielle is away.
History
Thamrielle leaves command of Malverand's Rahmavir forces to Phariel while she is away from the front. When she returns to the Malverand stronghold on Rahmavir's southern coast, the front has stayed quiet, and Phariel offers to meet Rahmavir's chosen leaders in her place. He also accompanies Thamrielle on earlier visits to Garadon, including summoned meetings with Rahmavir.
Phariel attends the meeting when an envoy from the Plains of Eternity requests a private audience with Thamrielle, carries Abraxas's request to meet Barachiel, and brings a prophecy about a destroyer. Thamrielle kills the envoy. Phariel questions whether the killing was necessary, then accepts Thamrielle's reasoning and handles the aftermath.
Death
About a century after the envoy incident, Phariel joins Thamrielle and a few Rahmavir chosen in a joint attack against the Plains of Eternity. Abraxas enters the joint attack against the Plains of Eternity and kills Phariel while the attackers are striking him. Phariel is reduced to dust.
