Overview
Dhalvor is a chief operator at the Malverand base on Vireen. He serves at the colony's damaged gate after Barachiel's death, catches Michael and Eremion when they arrive from Maraveth, and joins Eira and the settlers in deciding how long the colony should remain before reporting back to the Malverand Empire.
History
When Barachiel dies on Vireen, Dhalvor suggests taking the skyship back to Maraveth to inform the empire. He accepts Eira's plan to keep the colony alive, repair the gate, and continue living on Vireen for Malverand's sake.
Dhalvor and the operators keep the gate running after it is partially stabilized. He catches Arcanis when the scientist falls through the damaged gate and holds him upright while Arcanis speaks with Eira. Later, Dhalvor peers into the void with Eira when two atraxi emerge through the gate and are killed by a cosmic beam. After sensing traces of Barachiel on them, he wrongly concludes that they killed the emperor and remains braced for more danger when Eira decides to take the bodies and the gate back to Maraveth.
