Overview
Bruno is Chronasis's overseer in the Malverand Intergalactic Empire. He takes charge of Thalena after she appears through a dead Malverand gate, removes her restraints, arranges her checkup, has an ID wristband prepared, assigns Luke and Elias to watch her, and passes her case to Dylan and Amos.
Bruno is a large, middle-aged man with gray-streaked hair, a weathered face, and a broad, muscular build. He wears dark brown leather clothing, including a jacket marked with star signs.
Thalena's Arrival
After Thalena arrives as an ancient gate traveler, Bruno removes her cuffs and routes her through a checkup, ID registration, and observation by Luke and Elias. He answers her questions about modern Malverand, interplanetary travel, the dead gates, the atraxi alliance, and Zarephon.
After Dylan raises concerns about Thalena's danger, Bruno becomes more guarded and keeps her case moving through official channels. He later gives her a wristband ID and leaves her care to Amos after Amos takes responsibility for her.
Maraveth Palace Attack
When Thalena flies toward Emperor Isandro's palace in Maraveth, Luke wants an overseer with them even though Bruno is absent. Amos agrees, then leads Luke and Elias into the palace to keep imperial officers from killing Thalena.
