The Amalthea system is an imperial colony in the Hyperion Spiral, fully controlled by the Malverand Intergalactic Empire. Current imperial starchart data places it about 87.2 light-years from Valrindor, mostly west and slightly south of the imperial center. Amalthea, Callisto, and Oberon are among the systems Eira intends to discover and visit. Malverand-related records use the same three names for Ozaith's children.
