Overview
The golden tree is Hrzai's original god-core form and later wielder mark. It begins as Arcanis's first successful first-generation god core, then becomes the mark in Eira's palm after she accepts a pact with Hrzai.
Original Artifact
Arcanis creates the first golden tree to produce divine magic through Malverand heart research. Over decades, the spell-carved crystal is filled with essence, spells, and the will of thousands of mages until it becomes a small golden tree lit from within. During the 1790 BX test in Maraveth, Thamrielle establishes a mind link with the object and a golden being takes shape above it. The being reattaches Arcanis's severed arm, reaches for the golden tree, and vanishes when she touches it. Arcanis names this class of creation a god core, and the being later becomes Hrzai.
Wielder Marks
After Hrzai's pact with Eira, the golden tree becomes a mark in Eira's palm. Through the mark, Eira speaks with Hrzai, draws on her power, calls for Hrzai to act or project herself, and declares herself Hrzai's wielder. The mark can glow or blaze when active and remains visible even when faint. In the later Malverand vault, Eira removes the marked hand and places it in a prepared casing to preserve Hrzai's power inside the casing.
Brynor also carries a temporary golden-tree shard during Hrzai's time as Xelthys. The mark disappears when their pact ends.
