Overview
The Luminary Halls are the royal palace and governing seat of Soltheris, standing in Zeydrith near the central plaza. Aurion rules from there while Soltheris sends expeditions into the Land of Darkness and defends Dravemir, and Daryas continues to govern from the halls after Aurion abdicates. Soltheris conducts royal administration and court business in the complex.
Design
The halls are crystalline and opulent. Their spires rise above Zeydrith's darker stone architecture. Gilded doors, broad stairs, balconies, high-ceilinged chambers, arched columns, sweeping banners, and an obsidian meeting table fill the formal interior. Cosmic glyphs carved into the walls flare with blue-gold light. Nearby roads in Zeydrith use constellation patterns as maps for newcomers.
The complex includes vast corridors, dining halls, guest rooms, royal chambers, balconies overlooking Zeydrith and the Luminar River, and cold storage deep beneath the halls. Officials, administrators, guards, mages, servants, advisors, and attendants move through the halls during royal business.
History
Under King Thurion, the Atraxi build parks and much of the Luminary Halls, leaving Zeydrith with atraxi-built landmarks alongside its later Soltheris engineering. Under Aurion, the halls host orders for Land of Darkness expeditions, Dravemir defense, and the orrery project. Aurion, Seralyth, Daryas, Kaelric, Astheron, and the Soltheris court use the halls for state meetings, diplomatic hosting, and military decisions.
After Aurion abdicates, he returns there as a guest in his former palace. Daryas rules from the same complex. The halls remain active under Daryas, receiving allies and guests during Soltheris's rebuilding.
Secrets and Mysteries
After the first orrery activation, Aurion carries Seralyth's body back to the Luminary Halls. Daryas preserves her in the coldest storage beneath the complex, and Aurion later spends the final power of Jorhan's spiral shard there to return her in altered form.
