Overview

The Hall of Reflections is the mirrored government hall of the Axial Concord in Axanaxa, the capital of Haverloch. It is Haverloch's council seat and diplomatic reception hall. The building uses mirrors, geometric surfaces, and ordered chambers; Haverloch devotes itself to Nahm, symmetry, and polished order.

Design

The hall stands behind broad reflective stairs and grand glass doors. Its facade, walls, floors, railings, tables, chairs, and chamber doors use mirrors, crystal, glass, polished stone, and black geometric surfaces that multiply reflections throughout the building.

Inside, the hall includes the Axial Concord chamber, a massive reflective council table, crystalline chairs, corridors, side rooms, private chambers, and guest lodgings. Large windows look over Axanaxa's symmetrical skyline, and a carefully ordered park, fountain, square, and reflective tiles stand outside or near the entrance. Water and air mages scrub the mirrors and tiles around the entrance.

Government and Culture

The Axial Concord governs from the hall. Jarin Jassaro uses it as the Concord's early seat and reshapes Axanaxa from there. Simon later leads Haverloch from the same building. Nahm also descends there, speaks with his wielder and officials, receives Jarin's geometric object, and gives divine authority to Haverloch's symmetry government.

The hall receives Haverloch officials, foreign envoys, allied mages, skyship crews, and military leaders. Its chambers host meetings about diplomacy, trade, military planning, border threats, the Symmetry Trials, and guarded knowledge about Malverand.

History

By 2085 AX, Axanaxa is Haverloch's capital, and Jarin leads the Axial Concord from the Hall of Reflections. He walks its corridors, plans the city's transformation, receives visitors from Skarnheim and Rimvold there, offers chambers to allies of the Order of Thalion Zenith, and gives Nahm the shifting geometric object that later deepens Haverloch's symmetry culture.

Helena Hyperion later stands before the Axial Concord inside the hall after passing Jarin's symmetry tests. She is accepted into the Concord there, beginning the Haverloch phase of the path that eventually leads her toward Thalena Xenith.

After Varnhallow's collapse brings Raphael, Zain, Gabriel, and Khauren into Haverloch's intelligence work, the hall remains Haverloch's active government center. Virel brings Vianna and Maia there during the Varnhallow investigation. Eira, Jin Leiyun, and Kaelion meet Simon there before traveling onward. Thalena later returns, invokes her old Concord status, passes the symmetry trials again, negotiates a route between Haverloch and Thalassai, and privately speaks with Nahm in a side chamber.

After Varnhallow survivors reach Haverloch, the hall hosts an allied meeting about Varnhallow, Raphael, the Guardians of Malverand, Zain, Ulzathir, Xalmyrran diplomacy, and the military response to Raphael, Gabriel, Zain, Khauren, and Ulzathir. The hall and its surrounding square host departures, skyship landings, and Haverloch-allied planning.
